What cocktail materials are indispensable while preparing a cocktail?

The range of cocktail materials is greater than ever before. Think of a shaker, drink measures, ice tongs, ... Important to know is that the characteristics of the bar tools effectively contribute to the quality of the cocktails. So inform yourself well. To help you, we have made a list of all the indispensable bar tools and exactly what they are used for:

1. Bar spoon

Bar spoons come in different lengths and widths. The flat back of the spoon serves to pour different drinks in layers on top of each other, called "layering." You can also use these to "muddle" fresh fruit. With Craftails 's cocktails, this will not be necessary because the fresh fruit is already processed. When you do add fruits and spices to our cocktails, they only have visual importance and do not need to be crushed.

If you use a bar spoon, you do have to be careful that the metal can scratch the inside of the glasses. We recommend getting a bar spoon that feels best in your hand and looks nice.

2. Jigger

Jiggers, or drink buddies, come in many different varieties all with one purpose: to measure out liquid. Currently, Japanese jiggers are the trend; they look like a double-sided eggcup. The large side fits 6cl, the small side fits 3cl. But our preference is for the steel jiggers in which the measurements are engraved along the inside. These are both easy to use and accurate.

3. Shakers & mixing glasses

Our entire philosophy revolves around delivering ready-to-serve cocktails. So shaking and stirring in the mixing glass are no longer part of it.
