Let's make it extra cozy this winter with (warm) winter cocktails. To do this, we combined our love for warm aperitifs with the festive aspect of cocktails and mocktails, and created some new additions to our assortment. With these delicious winter aperitifs you can transform your terrace into a cozy winter bar in no time.
You no doubt already know the first cocktail from our range of winter cocktails. An old classic originating in Ireland, it was first served in the 1940s by Joe Sheridan at Foynes Airport. Tired travelers looking for some warmth from a nice, traditional coffee were treated to a bonus by Joe. Namely, he poured in some brown sugar and whiskey and finished with whipped cream. When travelers asked, "Is this Brazilian coffee?", Joe proudly said, "No, that is Irish Coffee!"
Since the traditional recipe is already a successful formula in itself, we didn't adjust much to our version. We mixed good, strong coffee with Irish whiskey and added muscovado sugar. This gives our Irish Coffee Cocktail a subtle toffee flavor!
Our Irish Coffee with a subtle twist is prepared as follows:
Based on this top recipe, we also created a Caribbean version. We replaced the whiskey with Caribbean rum and added the spicy and fruity flavors of baked apple, candy sugar and cinnamon. This makes our Caribbean Coffee a thoroughly winter cocktail! An extra big plus is that when heated up, this cocktail gets a nice, creamy foam layer. So there's no need to add extra cream. An ideal pick-me-up or end to a cold, cozy winter evening.
How do you prepare this spicy cocktail? Exactly like Irish Coffee, but without whipped cream:
And last but not least, we end with a spicy cocktail guaranteed to warm you up during winter. For our Sailor's Spice, we found inspiration in a summer drink that Robert Abigail wrote a world hit about in 2008, the Mojito. Sailors Spice contains the DNA of a Mojito in a warm, winter jacket!
In fact, the rum is infused with a blend of five spices: cinnamon, cassia, cloves, anise and pimento. A hazelnut syrup is added to this for that typical nutty taste. Finally, we added ginger ale for some extra spice and a lime to give it a fresh touch.
How do you prepare this mojito in a winter alternative?

At Craftails we love innovation, because who takes the same cocktail every time when you can choose from an entire drink menu? Not us! That's why the Raspberry Espresso Martini will make way for the well known Espresso Martini.
