It is with enthusiasm that we announce the arrival of a limited edition Craftails cocktail !
We created these to raise money for a very special cause. In fact, all proceeds from the cocktail will go entirely to the renovation of Kyle's home. A good friend, a hard worker, a sporty guy, a selfless individual, a good laugh and sympathetic guest, an avid Antwerp fan and a former dockworker who lost a leg in an unfortunate work accident.
So not only do your customers (and yourself) enjoy a delicious beverage, but you also make a real difference in Kyle's life.
We know Kyle as a good-natured guy. A true friend you can count on. Antwerp got to know him through an unfortunate work accident at the port.
An accident that cost him a leg and almost his life.
A life that the accident also accelerated. Because upon awakening from his 1.5-month coma, Kyle wanted only one thing: to get on with his life, together with the woman of his dreams. He immediately asked his girlfriend Lynn to marry him.
Their life together looks rosy, yet very different. In fact, a lot of adjustments are needed to their daily routine. The loss of a leg means that many practical matters also have to be arranged. Everyday activities taken for granted by someone else now have to be adapted to Kyle's needs. And that doesn't come cheap.
To ensure that Kyle can truly move on with his life, we want to financially support him in the renovations and modifications to his and Lynn's love nest.
That's why there is #CheerstoKyle, so he can soon say wholeheartedly #Cheers on his new life and home.
For this fundraiser, we created a unique cocktail.
For this, we relied on some of the artisanal products of Houblonesse.
We met the owners of Houblonesse at the Tavola hospitality fair and were immediately impressed. Both by the quality of the products and the story of their non-profit organization.
Houblonesse is a product of Sowepo, a customization company in Poperinge. With the 'Houblonesse' brand, they provide additional employment opportunities to further develop their customization business and on the other hand give people with disabilities the chance to work.
The Houblonesse Hopscheutenjenever is made with typical Belgian local products: Gin and hop shoots.
And with those ingredients, we created a TOPcocktail! We added tangerine, tarragon, butter and Champagne.
With our Limited Edition Cocktail we are supporting Houblonesse's vision by using their products as well as supporting Kyle with the proceeds.
